**Job Title:** Registered Nurse
**Job Specialty:** PCU - Neuro Intermediate Care
**Job Duration:** 13-Week Contract (Ending March 15, 2025)
**Shift:** Night Shift, 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15)
**Guaranteed Hours:**
**Experience:** Minimum of 2 Years, Neuro Experience Preferred
**License:** NC or Compact License (Pending OK for Submission)
**Certifications:** ACLS, BCLS, NIHSS
**Must-Have:** Telemetry, Vents, IV Start, Drips
**Job Description:**
- No RTO (Request to Offer) after booking is allowed, and it cannot be arranged onsite. Any call-offs or additional RTO may result in cancellation.
- Accepts first-time travelers.
- Local candidates accepted with rate adjustment.
- Preferred Skills: Triage, ICP, Conscious Sedation, Charge Nurse Experience.
- Preferred Certifications: CCRN, TNCC, CPI.
- Patient Ratios: 1:4.
- Average Daily Census: The unit can accommodate a maximum of 24 patients.
- This intermediate unit is specialized for neurological and medical intermediate patients.
- Commitment required for working 3 weekends every 6 weeks (total of 6 weekend shifts between Saturday and Sunday).
- Float requirement to other intermediate and critical care areas.
- Unit utilizes PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR systems.
- Self-scheduling is balanced and approved by staffing personnel.
- Unit Orientation: 32 Hours, including an 8-hour computer class and two shifts on the unit.
- Scrubs: Any combination of navy blue and white.
- EKG Testing required before starting for this specialty.
- COVID-19 Vaccine is not required. Flu Vaccine is required, with medical/religious exemptions only.
