This reputable general contractor is well known based off their achievements in building custom homes throughout Dade County and in Miami Beach. They pride themselves on their knowledge in creating beautiful, luxury homes and hiring top notch professionals. They are looking to add a design manager to their team who won't be doing the actual designing but being the manager dealing with takeoffs, buyouts, drawing reviews for the interior designers & vendors hired by this GC.
Description
This role isn't an interior designer position. What this general contractor is looking for is someone to manage the process of interior design from within the GC with the outsourced designers and vendors. They will be working on the GC side doing material quantity takeoffs, buyouts, interior drawing reviews. They will need to have strong communication skills to work directly with designers but report into the owner and project managers of the GC.
Profile
- 3+ years experience in interior design work, specifically with residential homes/ multifamily luxury apartments.
- Degree in Architecture/ Design
- Experience with material quantity takeoffs, buyouts, interior design drawings for review.
- General Contractor experience not necessary, someone looking to make that jump from interior design side to a GC.
- Ability to manage others and the interior design process.
