If you meet the qualifications* for the position, the pay is $26.00hr.
*This position requires one or more years of experience in a hotel maintenance engineer role. If your experience differs than required for Engineer 2, the pay could range from $25.00 to $27.00.

Overview:
The Engineer 2 is responsible for ensuring the highest Marriott Standards in regards to the overall aesthetic and safety of the hotel. Mainly responsible for guestroom, meeting room and public space functionality in regards to lighting, plumbing, temperature comfort, appearance and basic functionality. Keep all hotel equipment in good repair with minimum down time by providing day-to-day maintenance. Continually support and improve the engineering services that effectively address problems affecting guests and associates. Protect hotel assets to ensure value is maintained.
Responsibilities:

- Respond to radio and pager calls for all assigned areas for that day.
- Document all work performed.
- Perform preventive maintenance on guestrooms, meeting rooms, public areas and restrooms per checklist and maintain all records.
- Have the ability to explain to guest how to properly operate or use hotel equipment.
- Perform trouble shooting with minimal supervision.
- Resolve any guestroom problem with minimal supervision.
- Perform preventive maintenance on all hotel equipment with minimal supervision.
- Perform routine repairs on all hotel equipment including small appliances, kitchen equipment, laundry equipment, boilers, plumbing, HVAC and life safety.
- Be able to re-key meeting rooms and solve lock problems in guestrooms.
- General working knowledge of electricity, steam, refrigeration, pneumatics and HVAC.
- Understand and follow all job SOP like Lockout / Tag-out, MSDS, and general safety.
- Have a general understanding of hotel life safety systems (Fire panel, Emergency Generator, Transfer Switch, Fire Pumps, Sprinkler System).
- Take equipment reading, meter readings, and material requisitions in a legible and orderly manner.
- Carry out all reasonable requests by management which the associate is capable of performing.
- Have ability to paint, touch up/ repair wood work and repair/ install wallcoverings.
