Position Overview: The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations. C2BMC supports a layered missile defense capability that enables an optimized response to threats of all ranges in all phases of flight.

Essential Functions:

1. Strong knowledge of information assurance technology and DoD cybersecurity certification requirements.
2. Demonstrated experience in DoD operational computing environments.
3. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to support complex organizational relationships.
4. Excellent technical document preparation skills and verbal communication to present cybersecurity issues to senior officials.
5. Develop and utilize a program-level Cyber Test Plan.
6. Develop and utilize a test artifact template.
7. Develop and utilize a Security Test and Evaluation (ST&E) for Windows and RHEL operating systems.
8. Coordinate with on-site cybersecurity, system administration, and network administration personnel.
9. Develop a tracking mechanism and Plan of action and milestones.
10. Utilization of automated security configuration tools (e.g., ConfigOS).

Basic Qualifications:

1. An active Top Secret clearance is required to start.
2. 5 years with a Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering-related field; 9 years experience instead of a degree. Or 3 years with a Master’s degree in an Engineering-related field.
3. Must possess a DoD 8140 certification at IAM – Level II or higher.
4. Working knowledge of eMASS, JOINT SPECIAL ACCESS PROGRAM (SAP) IMPLEMENTATION GUIDE (JSIG), Common Criteria, and National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP).
5. Test responsibility will involve integration, verification testing, and ensuring security patches and STIG security configurations are operating as intended.
6. Security engineering skills with an in-depth knowledge of cybersecurity technology.
7. Excellent technical document preparation skills and verbal communication.
8. Solid RHEL, Windows, networking, and firewall security configuration experience.
9. Experience with security products such as vulnerability scanning tools.
10. Demonstrated experience in security architecture design, audit tools, requirements generation, and administration of security devices.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Network design and software engineering backgrounds.
2. Travel may be required between Colorado Springs, Colorado, and Huntsville, Alabama.
