Regional Reliability Engineer Job Description
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
The purpose of this role is to provide maintenance and reliability technical support to the North American CCS operating sites (Akron and Mogadore in Ohio, and Chester and Roebuck in the Carolinas). This role is responsible for assessing plant needs and areas for improvements. It will also lead troubleshooting reliability issues, supervising technical repairs, and managing capital improvements. The Regional Reliability Engineer will also contribute significantly to reducing downtime, improving equipment reliability, and optimizing processes.
WHAT YOU'LL OWN IN THIS ROLE:
- Analyze plant reliability performance and utilization (Pareto Skills); design and implement improvements.
- Assess long-term asset reliability needs to feed the 5-year capex plan. Help develop CAPEX needs for the sites.
- Evaluate and improve sites' maintenance strategies.
- Work with maintenance mechanics / technicians to troubleshoot difficult problems
- Support Engineering SOP development - Including Return to service checklists
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for preventive and predictive maintenance technologies.
- Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Reliability Engineering, or related engineering field
- 3 years' experience in preventive and predictive maintenance technologies
- Ability to read piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&ID), electrical drawings, process control narratives, equipment specifications and similar technical documents.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis. Ability to compile and analyze plant data to draw actionable conclusions for continuous improvement.
- Manage goals and responsibilities with minimal supervision. Work both independently and in team-based environments across multiple operating sites
- Experience in a Chemical Manufacturing environment
- Experience with SAP CMMS
- Plant operating experience with maintenance and reliability responsibility.
- Lean Six Sigma process improvement competency
- Project management skills
- Communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with others.
- OSI PI platform experience
