Overview
Role and Responsibilities
The role of the Estimating Associate is to is to measure floor plans and blueprints to provide quantities for bids, contracting, and ordering purposes for flooring materials, wall materials, countertops, and windows.
• Follow and enable a culture where Arizona Home and Appliance Core Values come to life.
• Review all bid documents including drawings, addendums, and bid forms.
• Produce custom quotes in accordance with department policy to support sales and design staff.
• Review plans, specifications, selections, and diagrams for accurate information and to identify product location and installation requirements.
• Request and organize all information necessary for project submittals.
• Utilize software to accurately measure and calculate net and gross quantities for bidding and ordering.
• Process requests for review of material issues such as repairs and material shortages. Adjust take off data if required.
• Work directly with other departments to clarify all discrepancies.
• Deliver accurate material quantities without sacrificing installation integrity related to installation techniques, material waste factors, and material layout.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
• Digital and hard blueprint deciphering capabilities
• Ability to visualize 3D data from 2D information a must.
• Strong computer skills (All Microsoft products; Excel, Word, &, Outlook)
• Strong math and problem-solving skills a must
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Minimum of 1-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Preferred Skills
• Experience with industry/builder programs (Autodesk, RFMS Measure, etc,)
• Knowledge of flooring systems
Additional Notes
This position is office based in central Phoenix, typically sitting at desk -requiring dexterity to be able to utilize phone, computer, and manuals, binders.
