Location: Remote but local to Charlotte, NC. Candidates must be comfortable traveling 2x per quarter for company meetings.

Duration: Temporary

Pay Rate: $35-41/hr

Job Summary:

As a Senior Licensing & Commissions Analyst, you will review Financial Professional onboarding requests in partnership with the Compliance team, handling inquiries from Financial Professionals, agencies, and IMOs via telephone and email. Your role involves utilizing computerized systems for tracking and troubleshooting while ensuring quality service by adhering to policies and reporting necessary changes. You will focus on understanding Financial Professionals' needs to deliver exceptional service experiences.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the successful contracting, appointment, and onboarding of Financial Professionals, agencies, and IMOs.
  • Manage the annuity-based commission payment lifecycle, ensuring accurate and timely payments in collaboration with the Finance team.
  • Prepare and distribute weekly and monthly commission reports for distribution partners and the leadership team.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of compensation rules, calculations, and regulations, updating procedural documentation as necessary.
  • Communicate effectively with external distribution partners, answering inquiries and preparing commission reconciliations.
  • Conduct data audits during system integrations and upgrades to ensure data integrity.
  • Support Compliance with internal controls over compensation processes.
  • Collaborate with the finance team on projections and modeling alternative compensation plans.
  • Undertake special projects as assigned by management.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in an insurance company or insurance distribution organization.
  • In-depth knowledge of life insurance and annuity commission rules and regulations.
  • Familiarity with insurance company field compensation processes and systems.
  • Strong customer service skills with a dedication to providing exceptional support.
  • Excellent listening and analytical skills.
  • Ability to adapt to change and effectively prioritize tasks in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of building rapport across multiple functions and with key third parties.
  • Highly organized and able to work independently while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong critical thinking abilities.
