What You’ll DoAs Sr. Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor, you’ll be a “player/coach” and supervise the Vocational Field Counseling staff as well as manage a caseload of individuals with disabilities employed in Fedcap janitorial and document management positions. You’ll ensure that all Fedcap placements meet SourceAmerica/NYSID/ACCSES NJ disability documentation requirements and be responsible for audit preparation and support to ensure compliance with funder requirements and regulatory standards.Your Responsibilities Will Include:Providing supervision to Vocational Field Counselors (individual and group), ensuring the provision of clinical services that meet quality standards and focused on individual worker behaviors/issues in the workplace and completion of adequate documentation for case files.Reviewing all case files to ensure that case notes, service plans and reports prepared by staff are written in accordance with SourceAmerica/NYSID/ACCSES NJ requirements and are complete, accurate and timely.Preparing for external audits – ensuring quality of service meets regulatory standards and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure compliance with contracts and policies.Overseeing the coordination of referring appropriate, qualified Fedcap school students for job openings in Fedcap Employment Programsincluding conducting community outreach to identify qualified candidates for Fedcap jobs and ensuring that new employees in Fedcap Employment Programs have appropriate disability documentation.Ensuring efficiency of workflow and operations practices.Managing a client caseloadAssisting with consumer outreach and department tours as needed.Perform other related duties as assignedYou’re a Great Fit if You Have:CRC (Certified Rehabilitation Counselor) certification – This is required by our contracts, so no exceptions).Experience working in a vocational rehabilitation setting with individuals having various disabilities and barriers to employment.Ability to define assignments and projects clearly and make make sound recommendations and decisions with minimal supervision.Supervisory experience preferred with ability to train and provide clinical supervision to staff.Superior communication skills (verbal and written), ability to meet deadlines, and multi-task.Proficiency in MS Office including Word, Excel and Outlook.The Fedcap Group provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state, or local laws.
