Job Description

The Division of Information Technology is seeking an IT Team Supervisor to lead and manage the dynamic IT team which supports the faculty, staff, and students in the College of Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources. This role involves supervising staff, overseeing college-wide IT projects, and providing high-level support for IT solutions.

Additional duties include purchasing, installing and troubleshooting IT equipment for use in offices, classrooms, and research labs.

The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of IT systems, a fast learner, a head for troubleshooting and researching answers, and the ability to foster a collaborative team environment.

Minimal same day or overnight travel will be required to visit CAFNR farms and centers.

Shift

Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm

Minimum Qualifications
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Expansive knowledge of desktop/workstation hardware/software/operating systems (configuration and connectivity).
  • Excellent technical knowledge of network file servers, permission management, applicable software, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Familiarity with systems administration and security principles.
  • Familiarity with enterprise management technology for Windows and Macintosh platforms Familiarity with Active Directory and Exchange.
  • Basic understanding of network infrastructure including wireless technologies.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills sufficient to interact with a variety of users and other technical staff.
  • Experience with creating and applying group policy and managing groups.
  • Valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science or a related field.
  • Two years of experience in IT management or supervision.
  • Strong understanding of IT systems and project management principles.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Familiarity with HR policies and procedures is a plus.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $51,875 - $61,200 Commensurate with experience
