**Job Title:** NDT Level II Inspector
**Department:** Quality Assurance
**Location:** Little Rock, AR
**Reports To:** Quality Manager
**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) Level II Inspector to join our metals manufacturing team. The NDT Level II Inspector will be responsible for conducting non-destructive tests to evaluate the properties of metal products and materials without causing damage. This role is crucial in ensuring the quality and integrity of our products and compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
**Key Responsibilities:**
1. **Perform NDT Inspections:**
- Conduct various non-destructive tests such as ultrasonic, radiographic, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, and visual inspections.
- Interpret and evaluate test results in accordance with applicable standards, codes, and specifications.
- Ensure accurate documentation and reporting of inspection results.
2. **Equipment Operation and Maintenance:**
- Operate and maintain NDT equipment and instruments.
- Calibrate equipment according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting of NDT equipment.
3. **Quality Assurance:**
- Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to develop and implement NDT procedures and techniques.
- Ensure compliance with company quality policies and industry regulations.
- Participate in internal and external audits related to NDT processes.
4. **Training and Mentorship:**
- Provide guidance and training to junior NDT technicians and inspectors.
- Assist in the development of training materials and programs for NDT personnel.
5. **Safety and Compliance:**
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines during NDT operations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Stay updated on industry advancements, standards, and best practices in non-destructive testing.
**Qualifications:**
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in NDT is preferred.
- Certification as an NDT Level II Inspector in relevant methods (e.g., ASNT, NAS-410, or equivalent).
- ASNT SNT-TC-1A Ultrasonic Testing Level II
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in non-destructive testing within the metals manufacturing industry.
- Proficiency in interpreting NDT results and using NDT equipment.- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.- Knowledge of industry standards such as ASTM, ASME, and ISO.
- Physical ability to perform inspections in various environments, including confined spaces and elevated areas.
**Working Conditions:**
- Work is primarily performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to various metals, chemicals, and industrial processes.
- May require occasional lifting of heavy equipment and materials.
- Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
