Avo Photonics is a dynamic contract engineering services company that designs, develops, and manufactures custom opto-electronic products for a large customer base. We seek a diligent and dedicated Systems Administrator who can maintain and document a secure server environment. The successful candidate must be self-motivated, maintain a professional presence, and have the desire to take ownership of projects.
Specifically:
- Manage File Server data and its underlying storage
- Manage Veeam backup software & disaster recovery procedures
- Maintain a Microsoft Windows Server Environment
- Manage Active Directory & Group Policy
- Maintain Dell Server hardware
- Create & maintain documentation and procedures of related systems
- Manage a Microsoft Hyper-V Virtualization environment
- Assist the Desktop Support team when required
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science preferred
- 5 years of Systems Administration experience
- Strong understanding of DHCP & DNS
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Windows Server & Hyper-V
- Able to work nights and/or weekends when required
- Ability to work onsite full time & the ability to lift 50 pounds
- Outstanding verbal and written English communication skills.
