About the job

Pacific International has been retained by a leading global manufacturer. The growing and innovative company is driving a transformation at 2 key sites, focusing on operational excellence and enhancing employee engagement and development.

They are looking for a Senior Human Resources Business Partner to oversee HR functions at a critical unionized facility that serves several well-known brands and a nonunion facility. The role involves managing all HR operations, including recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, labor law compliance, conflict resolution, training and development, and union and nonunion relations.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, collaborative leader with excellent interpersonal skills, a strong understanding of labor relations, and a proactive approach to managing a diverse workforce.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a similar field; a Master’s degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP/SCP) is advantageous.
  • 5+ years of HR experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a unionized setting.
  • In-depth understanding of labor laws, union agreements, and HR best practices.
  • Demonstrated ability in handling employee relations, negotiations, and resolving conflicts.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational abilities.
  • Capable of thriving in a fast-moving and dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must excel in conflict resolution strategies.
