Job Description Summary: This position is a unique opportunity for those looking to enter the government contracting career path with a growing company that has an identified need to expand its finance and budgeting function. The position is cross-functional between analyzing finance data and budgeting on a project-level, in support of government contracting. Beyond learning key components of business operations and financial reporting, this position affords the opportunity to work with closely with the Program Management office on an existing prime contract in a lean and agile corporate structure. The primary means of learning will be on-the-job training, paced at the perspective candidates capabilities and prioritized based on contract and corporate organizational requirements. ResponsibilitiesWork closely with the Program Management Office (PMO) in the key areas of business operations and project finance supporting various project controls requirementsAssist in project controls forecasting and reporting of operational performance internally to senior staffDirectly support the Project Controls Manager in areas of data entry, project-based financial reporting, budgeting, invoicing, and other tasks as neededProficiency in Microsoft Office, with a focus on ExcelStrong analytical and quantitative skillsRequirementsBA/BS, or near completion (preferably in the area of business, finance, economics, accounting, or similar degree field)Must be available October 2024Demonstrated leadership through organizations, clubs, or previous jobsExcellent interpersonal and communications skillsDesire to work as part of a team and be collaborativeWhat Type of Person are you?Self-motivated, adaptable, entrepreneurial spiritGoal oriented with a desire and open mindset to learn from everyonePerceptive, with strong written and verbal communication skillsProblem-solver, who is naturally analytical and creative, and can think outside-the-box to generate new and creative ideas for problem solvingActive listener, ability to collaborate in group settings, with a bias towards process improvementStrong interpersonal skills, with ability to work independentlyMust be organized, detail-oriented, can multi-task, be able to prioritize multiple tasks, and meet target deadlinesNice to have, but not requiredExperience in Deltek Costpoint Projects and Time and Expense Modules, or similar ERP systems.No visa sponsorship available for this position EEOE Including Vets and Disability.
