Structural Engineer

About the Company - We are seeking a Structural Engineering EIT responsible for efficiently producing structural designs, including foundation and framing plans for both residential and commercial structures. This position reports to the Engineering Operations Manager and works closely with professional engineers, clients, and drafting personnel.

About the Role - Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Design foundation and framing structures for residential and commercial projects.
• Produce foundation and framing structure plans using Bricscad software.
• Prepare structural design calculations, coordinate projects, and attend meetings with clients and consultants as needed.
• Perform occasional site observations and handle permit processing through local government agencies when required.

Responsibilities - Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Bricscad, and associated programs.
• Ability to perform basic design calculations.
• Work closely with clients, engineers, and drafters to gather project information and ensure drawing accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with direction from Engineers or Project Managers.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task effectively.

Qualifications - Education & Experience:

• Structural Engineering Degree from an ABET-accredited institution.

Required Skills - Certificates & Licenses:

• Possess EIT (Engineer in Training) certification.
