Job Summary:
The Staff Accountant is primarily responsible for assisting with the General Accounting and Financial Reporting functions and the financial services area of Club & Ops including Cashiering, Account Receivables & Account Payables. This position will also be responsible for maintaining a system of internal controls that will ensure that company assets are adequately safeguarded and that all financial reporting is prepared in compliance with all financial policies, and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

Essential Job Functions:
Job duties include, although are not limited to:
- Effectively manage the day-to-day operation of the cashier function - reconcile daily cash deposits, credit card and ACH merchant deposits.
- Assist Accounts Receivable with member enquiries, posting payments, member billing and collection procedures.
- Assist Accounts Payable with managing offsite AP Team & maintaining certificate of liability insurance and W-9s for vendors.
- Audits member and guests' charges including checking cash sheets to assure that all receipts have been posted.
- Perform the Income Audit Function in Northstar Accounting System for daily revenue balancing.
- Oversees monthly inventory control analysis with all F&B and Retail Outlets.
- Assists in preparing the monthly trial balance and resulting financial statements including Income Statement and Balance Sheet for the Club / Ops along with required supporting schedules and other data necessary for financial reports and records.
- Assist in reconciling monthly ledgers including receivables, payables, bank accounts, asset accounts and wage accounts.
- Prepare and file local and state taxes.
- Other Duties as required, outside of those outlined above.
- Takes responsibility for continued development of associates property wide on areas in Finance to be in compliance with Finance SOP's.
- 2 years minimum experience as staff accountant or similar role, preferably in a resort/club environment.
- Experience working with financial systems.
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
- Excellent writing and communication skills

- Competency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Publisher
- Ability to improve business processes and accountability; ability to execute is critical.
- Independent thinker, logical, strategic, with attention to detail.
