Responsibilities

• Collaborate with leaders to assess, prioritize, and allocate resources for technical data system requirements, translating business needs into effective solutions that support business plans and drive operational excellence.
• Lead, coach, and guide the data management teams, fostering a culture of accountability, professional development, and high performance.
• Define team objectives, provide guidance and support, and communicate solutions across departments.
• Work with the broader IT team to identify high-priority areas for improvement, ensuring alignment with strategic business plans and profitability goals.
• Develop and enforce data management policies, promoting data quality, integrity, and security.
• Document processes and procedures, reviewing best practices regularly.
• Troubleshoot data-related issues across various business systems, both on-premises and cloud-based.
• Oversee the design, execution, and implementation of reporting deliverables that support business development and enhance operational cost-effectiveness.
• Design databases, architect solutions, and develop data pipelines for various sources and target systems.
• Support both on-premises and cloud databases.
• Monitor, maintain, analyze, and upgrade all managed data platforms.
• Assist in the design and development of web-based dashboards and user interfaces.
• Ensure stakeholder requests are met with effective reporting to drive improved decision-making.
• Promote data as a valuable asset within the organization, identifying opportunities, developing long-term strategies, and expanding the Data Services’ functions and responsibilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, or equivalent work experience preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in SQL programming, ETL development, and business intelligence report writing.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft on-premises platforms (SSMS, SSIS, etc.) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems preferred.
• Proven experience with Azure Resources (Synapse Analytics, Data Factory, Functions, Logic Apps, App Registrations, Key Vault, etc.) preferred.
• Required experience with on-premises and cloud Data Warehousing.
• Preferred experience in database tuning and archiving.
• Experience with API development preferred.
• Demonstrated experience with Microsoft SQL Server Development, including table creation, schema definition, views, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and performance optimization.
• Ability to troubleshoot databases and implement solutions.
• Proven ability to quickly learn new technologies to a high level of proficiency.
• Exceptional coding skills (SQL, KQL, PostgreSQL, JSON, Python, Spark, etc.).
• Knowledge of data, database design/structure, and business applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to maintain high standards of professionalism in serving internal customers.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines.
• Ability to lead, manage, motivate, and develop a remote workforce, including offshore resources, to their maximum potential.

Minimum Estimated Salary: $130,000
Maximum Estimated Salary: $150,000
