TITLE: Solution Architect

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
- Develop solutions across multiple architecture domains (application, data, integration, infrastructure, and security) using technologies such as APIs, integration/middleware, mobile, web technologies, and service-oriented architecture.
- Focus on value stream solutions, managing deliverables, and overseeing releases, particularly bimonthly releases for near-term projects.
- Spend some time on strategy and researching technology options to make informed recommendations.
- Utilize Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines for modern deployment models.
- Proficient in using source code version control systems such as GitHub, GitLab, or BitBucket.
- Collaborate with Sr. Software Engineers to improve development processes and code base.
- Strong SQL knowledge with experience in recognized databases (Postgres, Redshift, Aurora, MySQL, Oracle, etc.) and familiarity with data warehouse principles.
- Adopt, contribute to, and coach team members on best practices, standards, and guidance.
- Keep knowledge up-to-date in relevant technical and business areas.
- Collaborate with colleagues on development best practices and application issues.
- Advise and work on strategic initiatives to mitigate core data application issues and identify opportunities for process automation.
- Understand security principles and apply them effectively in solutions architecture.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- 5+ years of experience in solutions architecture for software engineering in data-driven environments.
- Development background with a Java based technology stack that includes: Java, SpringBoot, Web Services, RESTful architectures, AWS API Gateway, Lambda, NodeJS, and Python.
- At least 1 year of experience with AWS platform and services, and other cloud products.
- Familiarity with DevOps principles and practices.
- Comfortable with Linux, UNIX, and Windows-based operating systems.
- Knowledgeable in modern Software Development Life-Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodology.
- Understanding of securing APIs using standard security frameworks such as OAuth2.
- Experience in financial or other highly regulated industries is a plus.
- Collaborate across teams, including IT Infrastructure, PMO office, Business, and third-party integrators, to review, evaluate, design, and implement solutions.
- Demonstrates a commitment to continuous learning of new technologies with a strong aptitude and attitude.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field (Information Systems, Mathematics, Software Engineering).
