This highly visible role gives opportunity for casual conversation and has a direct impact on creating the guest experience. You'll be the face of Hyatt as a Front Office Associate. If you have worked at other Hotels as a front desk clerk or you have an interest in hotel clerk jobs, we'd love to hear from you!Responsibilities include:· Answer multi-line phones in a courteous, professional manner· Create new reservations either in person, via email or by telephone· Process all guest check-ins by confirming reservations, assigning room, and issuing and activating room key.· Coordinate with Housekeeping to track readiness of rooms for check-in.· Work with other staff members to ensure that all guest rooms meet their requests, hotel standards and accommodate any special client needs· Process all payment types such as room charges, cash, checks, debit, or credit.· Research and resolve disputed charges for guests.· Follow up with guest regarding satisfaction with guest-related issues.· Process all checkouts including resolving any late and disputed charges. Answer, record, and process all guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns.· Run daily reports (number of arrivals, departures), identify any special requests, and check reports for accuracy· Review shift logs/daily memo books and document pertinent information in logbooks. Balance and drop receipts according to accounting specifications.· Assist management in training, motivating, and coaching employees; serve as a role model.· Follow all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.Hyatt associates work in an environment that demands exceptional performance yet reaps great rewards. The starting hourly rate is $21.00.
