A highly respected accounting firm with a strong presence in the Los Angeles area is seeking a Tax Senior Manager, Director, or current Partner ready to step into a Partner role immediately. The firm boasts a collaborative culture and focuses on delivering exceptional client service.

**Position Summary**

This unique opportunity offers a direct path to Partnership without the pressure of business development. You will inherit a substantial $1 million book of business, allowing you to focus on providing top-tier service to existing clients and leveraging your technical expertise in partnership and high-net-worth individual tax. The firm values work-life balance, demonstrated by their standard 36-hour, four-day workweek during non-busy seasons.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and nurture relationships with an existing portfolio of high-net-worth individual and partnership clients.
  • Oversee the preparation and review of complex tax returns, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Provide expert tax consulting and planning services, tackling intricate tax matters with confidence and clarity.
  • Mentor and develop a team of tax professionals, fostering an environment of growth and learning.
  • Collaborate with partners and colleagues to contribute to the firm's continued success.

**Qualifications**

  • Active CPA license
  • 10+ years of relevant tax experience, with a strong background in real estate limited partnerships, C and S corporations, fiduciary, and high-net-worth individual tax
  • Demonstrated expertise in partnership and high-net-worth individual taxation
  • Strong leadership, staff management, and training abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both with clients and colleagues
  • Experience with tax preparation software (Lacerte) and research tools (BNA) is a plus
  • JD or Master's degree in tax is preferred, but not required.
  • Willingness to work full-time in the firm's California office. Local candidates are strongly preferred, but exceptional out-of-town candidates may be considered for relocation.
