Position: Customer Service Specialist

Pay: $55k-$65k

Location: 100% onsite in Minneapolis

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the outside sales team to meet and exceed customer expectations.
  • Provide timely and accurate information on pricing, inventory levels, availability, shipping costs, and delivery times.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, prepare price quotes, and process purchase orders.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for customer and prospect communications, ensuring strong communication and service.
  • Process customer orders, changes, and returns in accordance with department policies.
  • Build and maintain professional, positive relationships with customers to create a high-quality customer experience.
  • Calculate prices, discounts, shipping costs, and sales margins.
  • Investigate and resolve customer issues, including product quality concerns and delayed or missing shipments.
  • Identify and close additional sales opportunities with existing customers.
  • Perform administrative tasks, such as filing orders and maintaining up-to-date customer information in the database.

Qualifications:

  • College education preferred; 3 years of experience in a B2B customer service role, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong B2B sales and customer service experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment, adapt to change, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Self-starter with a strong sense of initiative and attention to detail.
  • Ability to engage directly with customers via phone and email.
  • Results-oriented, with the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other spreadsheet applications; familiarity with ERP software is an advantage.
