Job Summary:

As a Project Engineer II, your role will encompass a blend of technical expertise, project management skills, and leadership abilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with other members of the engineering team and operations, you will plan and schedule capitol projects by defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
  • Develop detailed project plans, including schedules, budgets, resource allocation and risk management plans.
  • Set milestones and ensure projects stay on track and communicate with key stakeholders.
  • Lead cross- functional teams, including contractors, designers and technicians foster collaboration and communication throughout the teams.
  • Manages project budgets and ensures financial objectives are met.
  • Ensures that quality standards and project requirements are met and implements quality control processes on regular inspections.
  • Maintains comprehensive project documentation, including design specifications and progress reports.
  • Manages stakeholder expectations and innovates feedback into projects.
  • Manages safety programs and procedures to exceed company goals on both leading and lagging indicators.
  • Supports continuous improvement of Production, Safety and Food Safety management systems.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years' experience in a manufacturing environment.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and initiatives.
  • Operations management responsibility in a 24/7 operation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a collaborative spirit.
  • Desire to learn with a strong work ethic.
  • Strong background in engineering principles with a combination of hands on and analytical skills.
  • Ability to identify problems early and develop innovative solutions.
