Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
Processes buys for stock and customer specific orders. Maintains inventory levels on fast moving parts, resolves issues at time of receipt and accounting issues.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Other duties as assigned.
  • Buys for backorders and stock items.
  • Ensure pricing and delivery are supported.
  • Collaborates closely with Sales and Product Management.
  • Complies with all ICC Policies as defined in the ICC Employee Handbook.
  • Identifies and pursuing continuous improvement through training and process improvement.
  • Complying with the ICC Quality Management System.
  • Complies with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR).
  • Pursues continuous improvement through training and process improvement.
Requirements
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2-4 years business experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with ERP systems, and inventory management.
  • Product / commodity experience.
  • Experience communicating technical requirements and issues.
  • Experience maintaining reports and supplier performance metrics.
SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS:
  • To perform the position, you must be US Citizen due to contractual requirements with the US Navy.
  • Must be able to report to Lumberton, NJ office during scheduled in-office workdays.
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite.
  • Able to work multiple tasks independently with little direct supervision in a fast-paced environment.
  • Must have strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent written oral communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for material cost savings and lead-time improvements.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is often required to stand, sit, use computers, read, write, type, use copy machines, file paperwork, use telephones, and utilize written and oral communication to interact with clients, co-workers, and customers. Sedentary work. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers (paperwork, typing, using mouse/keyboard). The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Position is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (such as in typical office or administrative work.)
