Senior Tax Executive
This pivotal role as a Senior Tax Executive at a leading accounting and outsourcing firm based in New York involves providing expert tax advice, developing strategic tax planning, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards for a diverse portfolio of commercial clients and individuals. Based in a dynamic environment that fosters professional growth and development, this position blends in-office collaboration with the flexibility of remote work. Directly reporting to the Executive Management Committee, you will guide the tax strategies and services, overseeing operations, fostering client relations, mentoring a dedicated team, and ensuring the financial and operational health of the tax services division.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations of the tax services business line, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of services.
- Manage workflows, allocate resources and staff effectively, and coordinate project timelines to meet and exceed client expectations and deadlines.
- Cultivate client relationships, oversee client portfolios, identify new client opportunities, and manage all aspects of the tax department.
- Mentor and lead a team of tax professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and ongoing improvement.
- Provide comprehensive tax guidance ensuring adherence to laws and regulations, develop customized tax planning strategies, and monitor legislative changes.
- Engage in rigorous risk management and compliance assurance in all areas of tax advisory.
- Take charge of engagement risk and financial performance, including budget management, billing processes, and resource allocation efficiency.
- Collaborate with other departments such as Outsourced CFO Services, Advisory, and Accounting to provide integrated client solutions.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.
- Extensive experience with a minimum of 20 years in public accounting or a related field.
- A minimum of 10 years in leadership roles, showcasing senior management capabilities.
- Must possess an active CPA certification.
- Profound knowledge and experience in taxation across various entity types including corporate, non-profit, estate, and individual.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree or JD in a related field is highly preferred.
- Extensive knowledge in strategic tax planning and compliance for a diverse client portfolio.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing a large team of tax professionals.
- Experience in a hybrid work environment and adept at managing remote team interactions is a plus.
