Position Summary:

What you'll do:

  1. Work with business stakeholders and product manager to convert qualitative requirements to quantitative requirements and design end-to-end ML solutions that are scalable and robust.
  2. Have experience in experimental design and understand general testing frameworks in E-commerce and marketing space.
  3. Based on business requirements, propose technical solutions and ML architecture.
  4. Identify data sources that are optimal for the project needs.
  5. Design and implement data strategies for both short-term and long-term plans.
  6. Deploy and scale ML models for personalization and recommendation projects.
  7. Develop efficient and reusable code components.
  8. Develop and validate ML models that improve business objectives.

What You'll Bring:

  1. Acute business intuition in personalization and recommendation space.
  2. Strong and efficient data engineering capability leveraging SQL and PySpark.
  3. Equipped with experimental design knowledge such as AB testing.
  4. Experience with both supervised and unsupervised learning modeling techniques.
  5. Experience with ML Ops concepts and implementation.
  6. Experience with model deployment and model monitoring frameworks.
  7. Strong communication skills with both engineering and business partners on topics such as data science achievements and challenges.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. Master's Degree in statistics/mathematics, engineering, computer science, economics, or related field and 2-3 years of industrial working experience in data and modeling related positions OR PhD Degree in a quantitative related field.
  2. Proficient coding skills; 4+ years of professional experience with SQL and Python.
  3. Deep knowledge of relational database capabilities.
  4. Experience with cloud computing services like GCP, AWS, or Azure.
  5. Experience in integrating, structuring, and analyzing large amounts of data from diverse sources.
  6. Experience with supervised and unsupervised predictive modeling algorithms.
  7. Strong project management skills and attention-to-detail documentation skills.
  8. Strong written & verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly to a range of audiences and to 'tell a story' that provides insight into the business.
  9. A passion for working in a fast-paced agile environment.
  10. A collaborative mindset and sense of curiosity.

Salary: The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00-$180,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Data science, machine learning, optimization models, Master's degree in Machine Learning, Computer Science, Information Technology, Operations Research, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Econometrics.
  2. Successful completion of one or more assessments in Python, Spark, Scala, or R.
  3. Using open source frameworks (for example, scikit learn, tensorflow, torch).
  4. Knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
