The mission of this role is to ensure that employees are properly trained for all production and materials positions.
High Level Statement of the Role
The Technical Trainer is responsible for providing and supporting all the employee's technical training needs. This includes new hire/new position training, refresher trainings, and re-certifications of plant employees.
High Level Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain training programs (agendas, materials, activities, etc.) that effectively prepare trainee to perform the role with minimum ramp up time.
  • Deliver technical training to employees, utilizing most effective delivery methods.
  • Coach trainees in the development of technical skills.
  • Verify employee's competence in job skills through varied assessment methods.
  • Ensure employee certification records are maintained accurately and timely.
  • Provide expertise of IPC in support of Engineering decisions as required.
  • Assess potential trainee's capabilities for entry into training programs or hiring decisions.
  • Diagnosis skill gaps to identify training needs.
  • Remains current on industry standards and plant operational procedures that affect the training content.
  • Partners with Training or HR Manager to continuously measure and improve the effectiveness and efficiency of training.
  • Partners with Training or HR Manager to maintain productivity tools such as training calendars, dashboards, reports, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned
