Marcum LLP is seeking a Tax Senior to join our growing and well-established national firm in our Saddle Brook, NJ office. The position requires a high-energy, experienced professional, with strong interpersonal and supervisory skills.

Responsibilities

  1. Prepare and review federal and state corporate, individual, partnership, and fiduciary tax returns, including exercising professional judgement with respect to issue identification to develop solutions.
  2. Supervise and help drive the success of multiple engagements in corporate, partnership and individual taxation.
  3. Ensure complete client satisfaction through open communication, managing and meeting deadlines, and proactively sharing tax saving strategies.
  4. Work closely with Partners, Senior Managers, Managers, and staff on client management, professional development, and business development activities.
  5. Supervise, develop, train and mentor staff-including performance and engagement reviews.
  6. Attend professional development and continuing education sessions on a regular basis.
  7. Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelors or Masters degree in Accounting from an accredited college or university (minimum of 150 college credits required).
  2. Masters in Taxation is a plus
  3. Minimum 3+ years solid tax experience in public accounting
  4. CPA certification or working towards certification required.
  5. Ability to problem solve and think creatively and logically.
  6. Demonstrated ability to self-direct and effectively organize, prioritize, and manage multiple engagements under tight deadlines.
  7. Outstanding leadership, mentoring, and interpersonal skills.
  8. Excellent analytical, organization, and communication skills.
