We are seeking an HR Generalist to add to our team. The HR Generalist role has responsibility to provide a full range of day to day and project HR support. This role also serves as a primary point of contact for general HR questions and tactical HR support, including to our Spanish-speaking population. This role provides operational support in the areas of recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, performance management, communication, engagement and HR policies and procedures.
Responsibilities including, but not limited to:

  • Contribute significantly to the organization’s strategic initiatives by providing comprehensive HR support, including to our Spanish-speaking employees.
  • Provide HR support and guidance, including to Spanish-speaking employees, on various HR matters, including policies, benefits, leave of absence, performance management and employee relations.
  • Support recruitment and retention activities for hourly and salaried employees. Create job postings, schedule interviews, create job offers, initiate, and monitor background checks, maintain recruitment and employment files, onboard new hires, support ongoing training and development activities. Local outreach recruiting efforts will be required as needed.
  • Supports several areas of HR compliance, including monthly HR reporting, Affirmative Action Plan reporting, Performance Management communications, HRIS/employment processing, unemployment claim administration, file maintenance and storage.
  • Understand and master payroll processing.
  • Responsible for supporting HR projects, such as: handbook and policy updates, development of a learning matrix, updating job descriptions, general benefit administration, annual wellness activities.
  • Responsible for preparing various ad hoc reports and metrics.
  • Support the implementation of strategic HR programs and communications.
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies and practices, as well as compliance to federal and state employment laws and regulations.
  • Additional responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications
  • The ideal candidate will possess strong HR generalist experience, including employee relations, and a proven ability to build relationships across all levels of the company.
  • At least 1-2 years of HR Generalist experience.
  • Fluency in both English and Spanish (written and verbal) REQUIRED.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Office Suite and HRIS systems.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Meticulous with strong organizational and time management skills.
