Interim Controller

Job Description

As a Controller Consultant, you should be well-versed in all aspects of accounting and be able to provide meaningful, actionable information to management so that they can properly run the business. You’ll be expected to manage multiple complex projects under minimal supervision. The interest and ability to multitask, as you’ll work with different clients simultaneously, is a must.

Responsibilities

1. Oversee the accounting function.
2. Work cross-functionally to support the client; ensuring the accounting function is aligned with strategic business objectives, pro-actively providing data for sound business decision-making.
3. Prepare monthly financial reports including management reports, board reports, and investor reports.
4. Oversee and manage the audit process.
5. Establish, implement, and monitor accounting policies.
6. Prepare SEC reports and disclosures.
7. Manage forecast and financial operating budgets.
8. Utilize best practice standard tools, templates, and methodologies.
9. Communicate with the client and management on the status of engagement and key business developments.

Minimum Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or related field.
2. 10+ years progressive experience in management roles.
3. 5+ years as an Interim Controller.
4. Proficiency in accounting software - For example, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle.
5. MS Excel proficiency including VLOOKUP’s, Pivot Tables, and Macros.
6. Strong understanding and knowledge of US GAAP standards.
