Are you a seasoned Level 5 leader with a passion for operational excellence? We’re seeking a General Manager to lead our company to new heights. This role is pivotal in driving growth, ensuring compliance, and fostering a culture of discipline and success.

Main Duties

  • Develop and implement strategic plans to drive business growth and achieve long-term objectives.
  • Responsible for departments’ operational systems, processes, and policies in support of the Cluster’s Vision, Mission, and Values.
  • Responsible for short-term and long-term planning, drive initiatives through the management team and in the organization that contribute to long-term operational excellence.
  • Build, nurture and maintain strong stakeholder relationships, negotiating contracts, addressing customer concerns promptly and adequately.
  • Oversee maintenance activities to ensure equipment/facility reliability and integrity.
  • Ensure strict adherence to regulatory requirements at all times, including food safety regulations, safety, health, hygiene, and industry-specific regulations
  • Ensure systems are in place to ensure such adherence, and any issues arising relating to same are resolved in the most effective and efficient manner and by optimising quality standards.
  • Develop, manage and monitor budgets, ensuring cost-effective operations
  • Lead, coach and mentor the team, ensuring they are equipped with the right skills and competencies to achieve and exceed performance targets.
  • Foster a positive work environment, promoting the Seafood tribe culture, and ensuring the Seafood values are lived through each and every team member.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide ongoing feedback to enhance employee performance.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, logistics, or a related field (MBA is a plus)
  • Proven experience in field of operations
  • Familiarity with NH3 refrigeration systems, EU seafood regulations and quality management systems
  • Experience with tender preparation for industrial buildings
  • Proficient in using relevant software and technology for inventory management and operations
  • Experience working in a unionized environment

Other Requisites

  • Strong knowledge of the seafood industry, processing techniques, import/export regulations, and sustainability practices
  • Able to work independently and also in a team environment, with strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities, with ability to effectively prioritize tasks in a high-pressure environment
  • Self – motivated, inquisitive, proactive, energetic and emanating strong positive attitude and energy
