Position Summary:

As a Software Engineer II, you will have demonstrated expertise in Swift or Kotlin programming language and apply it to the development, improvement, and release of the Walmart Business App.

What you'll do:

  1. Design and develop highly scalable e-commerce applications for the iOS or Android platform.
  2. Implement applications with standard iPhone/iPad UI components, creating custom UI.
  3. Write multi-threaded and networked apps.
  4. Solve complex software systems problems by leveraging state-of-the-art technology.
  5. Gain exposure to various emerging technologies used in Marketing and E-commerce platforms.
  6. Drive projects of high visibility across the organization.
  7. Participate in medium- to large-scale, complex, cross-functional projects by reviewing project requirements; translating requirements into technical solutions; gathering requested information (for example, design documents, product requirement); writing and developing code; conducting unit testing; communicating status and issues to team members and stakeholders; collaborating with cross-functional teams; troubleshooting open issues and bug-fixes; enhancing design to prevent re-occurrences of defects; ensuring on-time delivery.

What you'll bring:

  1. Solid understanding of the iOS or Android application life cycle.
  2. Knowledge of Swift programming language, iPhone SDK and XCode OR knowledge of Kotlin programming language for Android.
  3. Experience writing multi-threaded and networked apps.
  4. Excellent communication skills in both technical and non-technical discussions.
  5. Proficient with event-driven architecture.
  6. A keen eye for detail and desire to learn, win, collaborate, and relish a challenge.

Minimum Qualifications:

Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position:

  1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area.
  2. 3 years' experience in software engineering or related area.

Preferred Qualifications:

Outlined below are the optional preferred qualifications for this position:

  1. Certification in Security+, Network+, GISF, or GSEC.
  2. Background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.
