What you'll do

  • Lead and contribute to the technical strategy and execution of a product (or set of applications).
  • Collaborate with Solution Architects, Principal Engineers, and other technology leaders to deliver optimal solutions for the product and enterprise.
  • Design and contribute to the architecture of Travel Rewards ecosystem
  • Partner with engineers to guide the architecture for Functional and Technical Designs; review, revise, and approve design documents.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including architecture vision, strategy, standards, policies, and presentations.
  • Provide ongoing technical knowledge and partner with product management during meetings to support the best architectural decisions.
  • Escalate technical challenges as necessary to keep projects on track and mitigate risk and reduce impacts
  • Establish, maintain, and communicate standards and procedures for application design, development, and associated activities.
  • Review business requirements and recommend alternative best practices where applicable, before design initiation.
  • Assess source code changes and unit test cases when there is high risk associated with the design or coding.
  • Provide technical assistance and feedback related to the M&E application and its architecture.
  • Offer consulting and advisory services regarding application architecture, infrastructure services, and emerging technologies.
  • Leverage appropriate technologies to reduce costs and improve productivity, adding value to the company.
  • Effectively manage problem-solving, multitasking, and scheduling to ensure visibility and predictability in project timelines.
  • Mentor and empower team members to promote growth, independence, and technical proficiency.
  • Consistently demonstrate a positive, professional leadership approach in all interactions and communications.

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology , Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
  • 10 years of development experience in programming languages like Java
  • 7 years architectural and design experience


Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

  • Master's in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology , Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
  • 5 years of technical or team leadership experience
  • Airline industry experience


Skills, Licenses & Certifications

  • Knowledge of public cloud like IBM Cloud, Microsoft Azure etc.
  • Experience in supporting high transactional systems
  • Significant experience in microservices architecture & API first principle.
  • Significant experience in requirements analysis and use case development, with a thorough understanding of software development life cycles, development and technology tools, testing methodologies, and requirements gathering
  • Experience supporting and directing technical architecture for supported business domains
  • Passion for change and continual improvement with ability to effectively lead, drive, and support change
  • Proven ability to work across multiple functional teams in the creation of business solutions
  • Experience with the operations characteristics of large scale and highly available computer systems deployed in a variety of software and hardware environments
  • Knowledge of systems integration practices and understanding of Service Oriented Architecture principles and practices
  • Ability to simultaneously manage a large Architect workload involving multiple projects, day-to-day tasks, meetings and ad-hoc technical requests
  • Ability to adapt to unexpected events, new facts, and rapidly changing circumstances
  • Ability to thrive in a sense-of-urgency environment and leverage best practices
  • Ability to be highly responsive and communicative, act with urgency, commit to follow-through and delivery, and respond to many simultaneous challenges with tenacity and innovation

  • Understanding of the application environments and related tools, and their relationship to each other
  • Understanding of the end-to-end implementation process and procedures
