Location: Glastonbury, Dallas, Houston

Position Summary

You will manage delivery across multiple product work streams and managing performance of Developers / tech leads / team leads and other Support professionals. The Senior Manager works with PM, Team Leads, Technical Leads and other Unit Managers / teams to plan work, estimate, understand functionality being built and provide solutions and services. The primary accountabilities for this role will be End to End technical leadership and delivery ownership of products/projects, Quality, competency development for engineers and people leadership.

Responsibilities And Accountabilities

  • Manage a team of 8 Plus engineers and responsible for delivery of products/projects with good quality.
  • Understand capabilities and functionality of the platform and products to develop new features/ modifications / enhancements to current products and tools.
  • Work with Engineering Directors and other partners to develop modifications and enhancements to Wolters Kluwer ELM solutions tools which aid in implementation.
  • Coordinate with Product/ Program Management in all areas of development including planning, estimation, risk escalation / mitigation and delivery.
  • Participate in all programs relating to talent attraction, brand and eminence building activities, performance evaluations and career development / performance management.
  • Develop core application/integration frameworks for implementation.
  • Work in a team environment to implement newer applications on Wolters Kluwer ELM solutions platform.
  • Responsible for the professional development and skill enhancement of the team.
  • Implement test-driven development methodologies for development.
  • Produce high-quality software and participate in continuous improvement to achieve higher efficiency.
  • Partner with PMO team of scrum masters/project managers for status updates and deployment of professionals and allow communication between technology and project management teams across multiple work streams and projects.
  • Mentor technical managers / principal engineers/senior software engineers and associate software engineers.
  • Ensure that all operational and employee related escalations are managed and resolved.
  • Ensure efficient operation of the Wolters Kluwer India organization by improving operational processes of the organization.
  • Share wins and successes with the team.

Requirements And Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering (B.E. or B. Tech.), Computer Science or Engineering with equivalent credentials.
  • Overall 15-20 years of experience with 10 years of development experience in C#, ASP.NET and the .Net frameworks.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience with SQL Server or Oracle.
  • 5 years experience leading a team of direct reports.
  • Experience in Web development with client-side scripting languages.
  • Ability to write SQL queries with high-level complexity.
  • Good understanding of source control systems (Git) and release management.
  • Experience with JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX, CSS and JavaScript Libraries.
  • Experience with Microsoft Visual Studio – 2019/2022.
  • Knowledge of build tools like msbuild, nant, and configuration management tools.

Compensation

Target salary range CA, CT, CO, NY, WA: $136,800-$191,650.
