Ihanktonwan Fund, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. The purposes for which the Corporation is formed are as outlined in the By-laws of the Ihanktonwan Fund, Inc. We are committed to providing equitable access to capital, fostering sustainable growth, and promoting financial literacy. Our work focuses on supporting small businesses, affordable housing, and community development initiatives for the people on the Yankton Sioux Reservation.
SUPERVISION
The Executive Director will report directly to the Ihanktonwan Fund, Inc. Board of Directors, which will act as the primary supervisor. The Board will oversee the Executive Director’s performance, provide guidance, and ensure alignment with the organization’s strategic objectives.
JOB SUMMARY
The Executive Director serves as the chief administrative/executive officer of the Ihanktonwan Fund, Inc., overseeing all day-to-day administration and management of operations, as well as the long-range strategy and program development for the growth of the organization.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Master’s degree in business administration, finance, community development, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of senior management experience, preferably in a CDFI or related non-profit sector.
- Strong knowledge of community development finance, program management, and fundraising strategies.
- Proven track record of successful leadership, team management, and financial oversight.
- Excellent writing, communication, interpersonal, and public speaking skills.
- Ability to work effectively with diverse communities and stakeholders.
