Job Description:
The Sales Director is accountable for the strategic management of the Select Health Large Employer, Small Employer, Individual and Medicare line(s) of business. Develops sales strategies for lines of business and the execution of said strategy, including retaining existing business and selling new groups. Accountable to achieve membership and financial objectives for the business that is sold. Develops value proposition of Select Health products and accompanying messaging for the market.
Scope
Direct reports may include the New Sales Managers, Account Managers, Business Development, Sales Operations, Manager or Self-Funding, Business Sales Analysts, and other direct reports as needed. Also has indirect reports engaged in retention of existing sales and support of new sales.
Job Essentials
- Ensures sales goals for new and retained business are achieved. Assures overall fiscal soundness of products sold.
- Develops enrollment forecasts for use in Select Health and Intermountain budgets.
- Directs the sales team and other direct reports to optimize sales results; ensures success of these areas. Oversees the staffing, management, training, development, performance and productivity of the sales team.
- Searches for market opportunities that can be met by Select Health products and services; develops business plans and strategies.
- Develops relationships with brokers to represent and promote Select Health products and services.
- Works closely with other Select Health departments to optimize the company's operational success in the implementation and maintenance of client agreements.
- Participates in Select Health strategic planning and helps facilitate seamless integration of plans with Intermountain hospitals and Medical Groups. Strategizes solutions to improve sales team service quality.
- Acts on behalf of the Select Health Desert Region leadership as warranted.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree. Degree must be obtained through an accredited institution. Education is verified.
- Current Nevada health insurance producer license.
- Seven years of sales management experience required, preferably managed health care.
- In-depth knowledge of local healthcare market, managed care products and processes.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to gain the support of individuals and departments contributing to sales-related company objectives.
- Demonstrated highly effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to produce and present data to executive level audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelors in business or communications.
Physical Requirements:
- Interact with others requiring employee to communicate information.
- Operate computers, telephones, office equipment, and manipulate paper requiring the ability to move fingers and hands.
- See and read computer monitors and documents.
- Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time to perform work on a computer, telephone, or other equipment.
This is an exempt, full-time position with a compensation range as determined by prior years of relevant experience. In addition to the annual salary, to show our commitment to you and assist with your transition into our organization, we may offer a sign-on and relocation bonus when applicable. With this position, you are eligible to participate in a variable pay plan based on approved sales goals.

$75.60 - $116.74
