OverviewThe Guardian Technology Operations Center is seeking qualified individuals that will work closely with the Development and DevOps teams to ensure that systems are reliable, scalable, and performant. The role combines software engineering and IT operations to manage infrastructure and create scalable and highly reliable software systems .You WillAutomate operational tasks, such as deployments, changes, and incident response.Use Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and other configuration management capabilities to implement changes in the Cloud environmentProvide operational application deployment support using standardized code deployment pipelinesExcellent experience in running and managing Linux and Windows Servers/ Compute environments, with Linux being primaryCollaborate with DevOps and Application Support teams to improve system reliability and performance.Actively participate in incidents and root cause analysis for production incidents and implement preventative measures.Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and proactively address them.Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for production systems.Document processes, procedures, and system configurations.Good exposure in running/ managing Network, Middleware, Database, applications and InfoSec environmentsExcellent Communications skillsGood exposure in managing Situation/OutagesBuild good understanding on Business application and their dependencies on IT InfrastructureMonitor the ServiceNow ticket queue and event monitoring tools (Zenoss) for incoming incidents & requestsInitiate/ attend/ participate on outage and work towards resolutionSuggest defects and product/infrastructure enhancements to improve stability and automationYou Have:8+ years of in managing IT Systems, OS environments specially LinuxBachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).Flexibility to work in 24x7x365 shifts on rotational basisMust be comfortable working in a highly critical, fast paced environment with shifting prioritiesGood working experience on RHEL Linux Operating systemGood working experience on Windows Operating systemStrong experience with cloud platforms especially AWS services (VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, Cloudtrail, Cloudwatch, various troubleshooting and operational procedures common in AWS eco system),Proficiency in programming and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Groovy. Shifts may change periodically to vary workdays.Salary Range$76,050.00 - $124,935.00The salary range reflected above is a good faith estimate of base pay for the primary location of the position. The salary for this position ultimately will be determined based on the education, experience, knowledge, and abilities of the successful candidate.
