We are looking for an experienced B2B sales professional to join our growing team to work with the region’s nonprofit and philanthropic community. Nonprofits are an essential business segment performing vital work for our Community of Business. We’ve created a portfolio of special products designed to support the region’s nonprofit community including our: Annual Giving Guide, Annual Philanthropy Guide, Philanthropy Special Reports, Philanthropists List, Charitable Foundations List, Charity Events Guide, National Philanthropy Day issue, Giving Tuesdays program, Own The Week program and annual Nonprofit & Corporate Citizenship Awards.

We’re looking for someone with a true passion to support nonprofits to join our team and enjoy growing these amazing products and create news ones.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • In addition to increasing business with established accounts within an existing book of business, the ideal candidate must be eager to meet with prospective clients and agencies to present and close new business.
  • Sales and management of print and digital advertising campaigns and event sponsorships.
  • Daily responsibilities include prospecting new advertisers, and business executives to make sales presentations (in-person and over mediums such as Zoom), writing sales proposals, account management of clients, and networking at various business events.
  • Drive revenue through a consultative sales approach by creating value and partnerships with the business community.
  • Attend nonprofit community events to meet and support the nonprofit community.

Qualifications & Skills:

· The right candidate is highly motivated, with a desire to join a culture dedicated to growth and achievement.

· College degree (Business, Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or Journalism is a plus, but not required).

· Media sales or nonprofit fundraising experience. Experience working with nonprofit organizations is a plus.

· Strong interpersonal communication, computer and writing skills.

· Strong sense of priority, ability to shift to different projects and manage time effectively.

· Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the flexibility to work on both team-based projects as well as independent projects.

Compensation:

This position oversees an established book of clientele and offers a guaranteed base while you grow your territory and commission package for new business. The benefits package includes medical, dental, vision, time off and 401k.
