We are currently looking for a Per Diem Community Outreach Health Educator to join our team. This position would be responsible for providing community based HIV prevention information and interventions and referrals to members of the target populations in Monmouth County
Responsibilities:
Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with co-workers
Conducts community and venue based outreach activities as indicated by client availability
Engages and recruits members of the target populations for Effective Behavioral Interventions (EBIs)
Facilitates Effective Behavioral Interventions (EBIs) as appropriate
Perform Rapid HIV Testing
Adheres to the organization’s policy in regards to absenteeism and appearance
Omission of specific duties does not exclude them from this position if the work is similar, related or a logical assignment for this position
Qualifications:
High school diploma required
2-3 years HIV/AIDS related experience
Knowledge of cultural and lifestyle diversity issues
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Working Conditions/Physical Demand: Working outdoors and indoors in a walk-in center with client/customer contact
