POSITION SUMMARY:

Primary focus is to manage the growth of G&P assets in Southwest Region, which include West Texas, Oklahoma and East Texas through collaboration and support of G&P Corporate Planning and Support, and other regional Business Development Directors, Operation, Accounting, Engineering and Legal stakeholders. The position will interface with multiple groups outside G&P within the MPLX organization and is expected to contribute incremental value to the broader Marathon organization when possible. The Position will be responsible for growing revenues within the region by cultivating and fostering producer relationships that allow for project origination and development resulting in executable contracts within corporate guidelines and risk tolerances. Sustaining a broad understanding of the competitive environment and optimizing regional EBITDA for processing and downstream settlements are expected. Management of professional staff is a requirement.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of 10 years in natural gas/natural gas liquids experience with a minimum of 2 years of leadership management working with professional individual contributors
  • Education: related Undergraduate Degree in Engineering, Finance or Business Administration
  • Commercial experience working with producers, production analysis, and economic evaluations, preferably in the Permian Basin
  • Listing of executed initiatives and projects requiring a depth of understanding in an active competitive environment
  • Ability to direct economic rationale and modeling
  • Advanced organizational written and oral communication skills
  • Experienced cross functional intercompany communications and reporting to executive leadership and contributors
  • Advanced abilities to work within teams of stakeholders
  • Travel as needed, up to 1 week per month

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with regional business stakeholders to develop and execute tactical growth plans to support year on year revenue
  • Manage and foster producer relationships and integrate where necessary organizational involvement
  • Manage the development and reporting capital budget, volume forecasting and growth analysis
  • Direct project economics and develop supporting presentation material to leadership
  • Identify growth opportunities for MPLX
  • Manage execution of authorized tactical growth plans with staff and multiple stakeholders
  • Develop and maintain professional bench strength within the Region with emphasis on individual respect, integrity and corporate safety
