Rutherford Management Company is seeking a full-time Community Manager to oversee a portfolio of multi-family properties located in San Jose and Mountain View, California . The Community Manager will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations, maintaining the property, managing budgets, and providing a high-quality living environment for our residents.
We offer a competitive salary of $83,000 - 85,000 per year and a 20% housing discount for this position.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A COMMUNITY MANAGER
As a Community Manager, you will manage day-to-day operations including meeting prospective tenants, preparing lease agreements, and ensuring that rental units are ready for new residents. You will also oversee property maintenance, manage vendor relationships, enforce property rules, and handle administrative tasks such as rent collection, delinquency tracking, and monthly reporting. Your success will be measured by the property's curb appeal, financial performance, and resident satisfaction.
You will take pride in creating a positive living environment for residents and enjoy a dynamic workday that includes a mix of routine and unexpected tasks.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience, including at least 2 years of supervisory experience
- Knowledge of eviction law and Fair Housing mandates (ARM, CPM, or CAM certification preferred)
- Proficiency in MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, and property management software (Entrata preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail and basic accounting skills
WORK SCHEDULE
This is a full-time position, typically Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM. Some flexibility may be required during peak leasing periods, budget preparations, or special projects. Travel may also be necessary for company training events, financial reviews, and special projects.
