Director, Sales East Food & Beverage (US Retail Sales)

Location: Working Remote, USA (Approximate travel from 50%-60%)

Your Opportunity as the Director, Sales East Food & Beverage (US Retail Sales):

Deliver the Business

  1. Responsible for achieving profitable sales growth by building & executing annual customer business plans
  2. Develop strategic annual business plans and track to achieve or exceed net sales targets
  3. Omnichannel marketplace awareness and business application understanding
  4. Utilize syndicated/other data sources to manage and inform strategic and tactical plans
  5. Effective KPI and trade budget management and visibility
  6. Responsible for monthly and quarterly sales forecast accuracy and effectively communicating business performance and needs
  7. Collaborate and partner with Sales Agency Teams to drive positive business results

Accelerate Team Performance

  1. Responsible for recruiting, training & developing team of sales employees at varied skill levels, located in central and East US
  2. Inspire and lead direct reports and cross-functional field support teams to maximize effectiveness, in accordance with JMS resonant leadership expectations
  3. Manage with appropriate interpersonal styles and approaches to gain acceptance of ideas or plans and serve as agent of change in leadership
  4. Ensure training, tools & processes are focused on delivering the business aligned to JMS go to market strategies, work cross functionally on customer go to market activation
  5. Sound knowledge of company financials, accounting procedures, trade financials, personnel policies and procedures

Strategic Partnerships

  1. Drive strategic partnership and long-term focus with all internal & external stakeholders
  2. Management of Region & Customer P&L’s, requires strong understanding of P&L key metrics and business knowledge to receive and provide direction on opportunities to improve profitability
  3. Drive business planning process working closely with cross-functional business partners
  4. Empower teams to lead cross-functional initiatives driving accountability and ownership
  5. Demonstrates an ability and interest in continuously raising awareness of the customer needs
  6. Identify continuous improvement opportunities to enhance sales strategy and organizational/talent capabilities; make recommendations to leadership

Customer Development

  1. Build and maintain relationships with assigned customers, key strategic accounts and all pertinent decision makers
  2. Support elevated customer and corporate connectivity with leadership and cross functional business stakeholders
  3. Develop strategies to drive category and JMS brand growth for the retailers
  4. Manage JBP planning and goal alignment with key stakeholders and long-range vision
  5. Understanding of customer technology resources & capabilities that can be leveraged for growth

Minimum Requirements

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ Years Sales Experience with 7+ Years of customer facing, proven track record of meeting or exceeding targets
  • 5+ Years large sales team management, people management experience and proven track record of inspiring a team to execute plans
  • 5+ years of Broker management
  • Strong Customer Management Skills- use of syndicated data sources such as Nielsen or IRI
  • Understanding of P&L Management, Category Management, Trade Promotion Management, Pricing Structures and Trade Terms
