Synechron is looking for Foreign Exchange (FX) Manual Quality Analyst to join our Team in Charlotte, NC
We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Manual Quality Analyst with experience in Foreign Exchange (FX) systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality, performance, and accuracy of FX trading platforms and systems. You will collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to deliver a high-quality trading experience to users.
Key Responsibilities:
Manual Testing:
- Conduct manual testing for FX trading applications and systems.
- Test various functionalities such as currency conversion, trade execution, order management, settlements, and market data.
- Validate accuracy in pricing, currency conversions, and transaction processing.
- Execute test cases, report defects, and ensure their timely resolution.
- Functional and Regression Testing:
- Test newly implemented features as well as regression test existing features after updates.
- Ensure integration points with market data providers, banks, and other third-party systems work as expected.
- Test Case Creation and Execution:
- Develop, document, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
- Prioritize tests based on system risk and impact.
- Review and analyze system specifications to develop test strategies.
- End-to-End Testing:
- Perform end-to-end testing of the FX lifecycle, including order placement, execution, trade confirmations, and settlements.
- Ensure smooth workflow and transaction accuracy from the front office to back office systems.
- Defect Management:
- Log, track, and manage defects using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar bug tracking software.
- Work closely with development teams to reproduce and resolve issues.
- Integration and API Testing:
- Validate data flow and integration between the FX system and external systems such as pricing engines, market data feeds, and banking networks.
- Ensure the integrity and reliability of APIs used for trading and settlements.
- Compliance and Regulatory Testing:
- Ensure that the system adheres to FX regulations and standards (e.g., Dodd-Frank, MiFID II, EMIR).
- Validate logging, reporting, and auditing functionalities to ensure compliance.
- Performance Testing:
- Assess system performance during peak trading hours and under heavy load conditions.
- Identify performance bottlenecks, latency issues, and ensure the system handles real-time updates effectively.
- Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, business analysts, and project managers.
- Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings as part of an Agile team.
- User Interface Testing:
- Test UI elements for responsiveness, usability, and accuracy across different devices and browsers.
- Ensure the UI displays real-time prices and trade information correctly.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, or related field preferred.
- Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in software quality assurance, with a focus on Foreign Exchange (FX) or financial trading systems.
- Strong understanding of FX trading workflows, currency conversions, order management, and settlements.
- Hands-on experience in manual testing techniques and methodologies.
- Experience working with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
- Skills:
- Proficiency in testing APIs, database testing, and data validation.
- Knowledge of financial regulations and FX industry standards.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with automated testing tools (Selenium, Postman) is a plus.
- Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter) is beneficial.
- Knowledge of Agile and DevOps methodologies.
- Experience with integration testing between FX systems and third-party providers.
