Job Summary/Basic Function
Under supervision of either a full time or designated adjunct faculty, this hourly position involves teaching of healthcare intervention skills in the laboratory setting. Skills taught may include intravenous cannulation, endotracheal intubation, AHA CPR BLS.
***This is a pooled position. Applicants are selected from the pool as positions become available. After a period of time the pool will expire and applicants will be notified.
Required Qualifications
Advanced EMT Paramedic certification or faculty recommended paramedic students, respiratory therapy students, nursing students or former NUAHEC scholars. 1 year of full time experience or WSU faculty recommendation. Current AHA BCLS certification required. Basic computer literacy.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelors or Masters Degree.
Graduation from CAAHEP/CoAEMSP accredited paramedic program, Nursing, or Respiratory Therapy.
Utah Bureau of EMS or NAEMSE Instructor's certification.

Hourly skills instructors are utilizes on an "as needed" basis with no set or guaranteed number of hours.
