lwaukee Valve Company is looking for a 2nd Shift Marine Assembly Coordinator II to join our Prairie Du Sac, WI team in Department 030. This position has a starting hourly wage of $26.25, plus an additional 3.5% shift premium.
* This position is eligible for a $2,000 sign-on bonus. The first half ($1,000) is payable after successful completion of the orientation period and the second half ($1,000) is payable after one year of employment. *
The regularly scheduled hours for this position are 2:30PM-11:00PM, Monday through Friday. Overtime may become a possibility or even required. When working overtime, the regularly scheduled shift is adjusted by 1-2 hours at either the beginning or end of the regularly scheduled shift. Overtime may also be requested or mandatory on Saturdays as well.

Summary - Required to perform set up and assembly of product, instruct method of operation, maintain, troubleshoot, and service all types of assembly and testing in assigned area, following production guidelines and specifications. Control, instruct and coordinate production processes while providing support on production lines as needed, while ensuring safety in the workplace. Verify that production standards are met. Must be capable of locating tools, fixtures and other devices necessary for the assembly and testing of product in assigned area.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities to which competency will be measured include the following:
- Operation of hand or bench type power tools.
- Operation of air and hydro testers.
- Set up and tear down for job changeovers without assistance.
- Must be able to disassemble and repair product and instruct others on the process.
- Apply sealants, greases and thread lockers as specified on test reports.
- Documentation of special characteristics such as heat codes and cure dates on test reports.
- Ability to interpret EI's.
- Work on the product line with consistent speed and accuracy.
- Maintain production standards and work towards improving productivity without compromising quality.
- Coordinate workflow of materials and work orders through assigned area.
- Must be able to instruct assemblers in assigned area as to proper assembly and test methods based on paperwork and test report requirements.
- Must have detailed knowledge of PRMS as it applies to assigned area functions.
- Maintain cleanliness of assigned area in a prescribed manner.
- Complete and process stock movement forms, create labels and other applicable indirect operations.
- Must be able to set up and troubleshoot all assembly and testing equipment in assigned area.
- Must be able to operate forklift.
- Must be able to perform assigned duties with minimal supervision with the ability to lead others and work independently.
- Must have detailed knowledge of warehousing operations and the ability to analyze and correct inventory errors.
- Must have good leadership and excellent communication skills.
