The Role
On the journey to build digital commercial capabilities Genmab IT & Digital has adopted a highly customer-centric, product-oriented operating model in building and evolving digital capabilities and has invested in cutting edge technology platforms to speed up go to market for external and internal facing digital products. In this journey, Genmab welcomes passionate product leaders to join the global commercialization team to build and manage top-notch digital experiences for Genmab patients and customers.
Genmab is looking to hire a dynamic, hands-on IT & Digital Product Manager within the commercialization unit of the IT & Digital organization reporting to the Director, Digital Products, Digital Marketing within Commercial and Enabling Function IT&D who can roll their sleeves up and make an impact within the fast-growing digital experience ecosystem. This role is for our office in Princeton, New Jersey, USA.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the overall Product Vision and metrics (e.g., Objectives & Key results (OKRs) fulfillment of multiple digital products across the omnichannel portfolio for US and EU Region.
- Create and maintain a prioritized roadmap for multiple digital products for branded, non-branded channels and marketing technology stack partnering with the brand, digital strategy, and marketing business functions.
- Work with cross-functional teams of product engineers, product owners, and designers to deliver customer-centric products.
- Stay coordinated with the Product Owners on priorities and day-to-day decision making.
- Exercise strong decision-making mandate across cross-functional teams.
- Prepare and support the agile teams on product demos.
- Build, grow and support Product Owners and Product Analysts through hiring, coaching (Knowledge Transfer), mentoring, and giving feedback.
- Contribute to the success and lifecycle of the product during definition, design, user story/requirement creation, documentation, launch, go-to-market activities, management updates, and metrics.
- Drive products to achieve success metrics on an ongoing basis throughout the product lifecycle by analyzing and solving the problems of your targeted end users.
- Own marketing product roadmap and user stories can be hands-on writing user stories as and when needed.
- Ability to write user stories and own product roadmaps in JIRA on a regular basis.
- This role will be responsible for managing multiple commercial digital product delivery for all Marketing tech products for US and EU region.
- This is an individual role that will have to provide leadership to the digital product delivery teams to help deliver on time and on budget without compromising on quality.
- This role will be a mentor, coach, and role model to the product-oriented delivery teams and shall have a clear understanding of digital product management lifecycle and best practices.
- This product manager should be an individual with the ability to roll up sleeves as needed and should be able to manage and respond to multiple priorities daily.
Required Skills
- Bachelor of Engineering degree required, MS or MBA degree preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with abilities to translate complex business problems and requirements into digital product goals.
- 8 years of experience in IT and software development.
- 5+ years of experience in Pharma or Biotech industry required.
- 5+ years of experience working as a digital product owner or digital product manager building commercial websites and portals.
- 5+ years in digital marketing technologies managing customer journey, SEO, Google analytics and cookie consent management.
- 3+ years of experience leading digital solutions delivery in a multi-vendor environment.
- 3+ years of experience managing digital product teams.
- Prior experience working in an agile environment using JIRA and Confluence.
- Has experience of product centric IT delivery model and product management skills.
- Has hands-on experience on salesforce marketing cloud and marketing campaign operations for life sciences industry, preferably for pharma.
- Has solid understanding, hands-on preferable of latest digital marketing, customer engagement and customer experience Technologies like Google Analytics, OneTrust, Email Studio, Surveys and SEO tools.
- Has experience implementing end-to-end omnichannel marketing stack setup at least for one life science brand and has a solid understanding of HCP (Healthcare Provider) and consumer/patient marketing.
- Has clear understanding of digital DevOps, CICD pipeline, DevSecOps, and Digital best practices.
- Equally capable of speaking technology and business language.
- Great team player with strong leadership qualities and sharp negotiation skills.

- Experience working with IT leadership teams.
- MS or MBA degree preferred.
- Product management certification.
- Google analytics certification.
- Digital marketing certification.
- Salesforce marketing cloud certification.

- Manage business IT systems/projects/processes within area.
- Provide inputs to team leadership to devise strategic and tactical solutions as well as standards required to meet overall business objectives.
- Lead implementation of solutions in line with IT/engineering strategy and plans within own area in collaboration with IT stakeholders, business teams, and external vendors as applicable.
- Proactively engage and collaborate with IT and business teams as well as vendors to achieve engineering outcomes.
- Maintain appropriate standardized guidelines, work procedures and schedules for own area to expedite workflow and improve efficiencies.
- Build collaborative relationships with the broader engineering/tech community, and support exploration and identification of newer technology solutions.
- Present new technology overviews to IT and Enterprise leadership at varied leadership forums.
- Provide direction and guidance to less experienced team members as needed.
For US-based candidates, the proposed salary band for this position is as follows:
$114,375.00---$190,625.00. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses.
