Bowers is seeking a skilled Lead Carpenter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in various carpentry tasks and possess strong leadership skills to oversee residential home renovation projects and/or fully custom new homes in the Northern Virginia area (in and around McLean, VA and surrounding areas to include close in Loudon and Fauquier Counties).

Lead Carpenter / Site Manager Job Requirements:
Run one job at a time beginning to end. Feel ownership of the project without all the headaches of being a business owner. Typical work day 7:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. Monday - Friday. Great blend of hands on carpentry (30%) and project/client management (70%) -- ONE job at a time. We are looking for exceptional Site Manager, Lead Carpenters with 10+ years of residential remodeling experience. Must be able to provide excellent leadership in managing a remodeling project from demo to punch; look ahead, make calls, manage all trades, perform quality carpentry work or manage carpentry subcontractors and all around be able to create a positive experience for the homeowner/client.
Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints to plan carpentry projects
- Perform trim carpentry, cabinet installation, masonry work, and plastering
- Conduct construction site tasks as necessary when not subcontracted out
- Supervise and coordinate the work of carpenters and laborers on-site
- Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget while maintaining high quality standards
Experience
- Proven experience as a Lead Carpenter or similar role
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and carpentry techniques
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, tools, and methods
- Excellent leadership and communication skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Nice-to-have skills: Cabinet installation, masonry work, plastering, trim carpentry

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
