The Opportunity:

Your role at Sephora: Sephora is looking for a passionate, results-oriented manager to work on Sephora’s award-winning iOS app. Your work on the Sephora app impacts millions of clients across North America. As our Manager, Engineering, iOS, you will have the opportunity to lead a team of engineers in the development and delivery of key features for our users. You’ll work with fellow engineering leaders to drive results and support the strategic direction of Sephora, IT, and the Engineering team. You will exercise these responsibilities in compliance with Sephora policies and standards along with industry best practices.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Mentoring and coaching members of the team
  • Responsible for team and feature delivery
  • Assisting with staffing and resourcing decisions for the team
  • Assisting in the generation of technical proposals and cost estimates
  • Communicating plans, status, and issues to senior leadership
  • Partnering with cross-functional leaders to determine the best way to meet business requirements
  • Proactively monitoring and improving the technical performance of the app

We would love to hear from you if…

  • 7+ years of experience in developing iOS applications
  • Strong hands-on experience in designing and deploying iOS applications using modern architecture, OOP concepts, data structures, Swift, and other best practices
  • Previous experience in leading and managing teams
  • Ability to effectively work with technical and non-technical teammates
  • Strong attention to detail and the bigger picture
  • Experience working with remote teams
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Analytical approach to problem-solving with an ability to work at an abstract level
  • Highly self-motivated, independent, efficient, and able to handle several projects
  • Ability to work well under pressure with a solid sense for setting priorities
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and other development tools and applications

The annual base salary range for this position is $163,260.00 - $201,600.00. The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include, as applicable, the applicant’s qualifications for the position; years of relevant experience; specific and unique skills; level of education attained; certifications or other professional licenses held; other legitimate, non-discriminatory business factors specific to the position; and the geographic location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the job. Individuals employed in this position may also be eligible to earn bonuses.
