Incomplete applications will not be considered.DUTIES:This is a professional OPS Senior Health Educator (SHE) position responsible for providing health promotion, health equity, and public health education services in Broward County. This position is under the supervision of the Tobacco Prevention Program Manager within the Division of Community Health of a large County Health Department. The Senior Health Educator is responsible for the development and implementation of policy and environmental changes that will impact tobacco prevention. The Senior Health Educator is responsible for supporting the development of policy and environmental changes that will impact the tobacco prevention mission of the Florida Department of Health in Broward including but not limited to areas of Tobacco Free Public Spaces (TF PUB), Smokefree Multi Unit Housing (SFMUH), Tobacco Free Partnership (TFP), and Organizational Tobacco Free Policies.The employee will work closely with the Tobacco Prevention Program Manager on the coordination, implementation and evaluation of all strategies and activities as outlined in the Bureau of Tobacco Free Florida work plan to address assigned policy areas. Additionally, the SHE confers with the Tobacco Prevention Program Manager to complete and submit quarterly reports in the Automated Tobacco Activity Collection System (ATACS), special reports, end of year reports and other requests for information.
