Summary

This is an internal consulting generalist role that will put solid business analysis skills to use on a fast-paced team that is developing an unprecedented new population health management service. The role will be focused on a large engagement for the state of California and has potential to expand to other clients.


Your role in our mission

  1. Plans, designs, and recommends business processes to improve and support business activities.
  2. Analyzes and documents client's business requirements and processes and communicates these requirements by constructing process models, including data dictionaries and resource estimates.
  3. Provides input into developing and modifying systems to meet client needs and collaborates with product and architecture resources to meet business specifications to support these modifications.
  4. Facilitates meetings with clients and/or internal product and architecture teams to gather and document requirements and explore potential solutions.
  5. Leads in crafting executive presentations to be delivered to both internal and client senior leadership.
  6. Leads in developing strategic roadmaps to ensure consistent quality control across the user engagement team.
  7. Assists in coordinating business analyst tasks on information technology projects and provides support to other team members.
  8. Analyzes results from stakeholder discovery sessions and recommends strategic engagement models.
  9. Assists with developing the methods and procedures required to identify whether current business goals and objectives meet organizational needs.
  10. Supports user engagement team in maintaining solid business practices, including internal communications and documentation.

What we're looking for

  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Work experience within healthcare or consulting, with a preference towards candidates who have experience with product development.
  3. Experience working with data analytics.
  4. Experience working with design concepts and basic language.
  5. A collaborative approach to work, and the motivation to develop your skills by taking ownership of new challenges.
  6. Excellent presentation skills, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts simply and effectively to all audiences.
  7. Ability to identify and communicate efficiently the different components of an analysis or conceptual structure of a problem or situation.
  8. Demonstrate the ability to conceptualize components of a business issue to aid in the analysis and definition of solutions.
  9. Strong leadership skills and a desire to build cutting-edge solutions.
  10. Ability to take initiative and drive execution with minimal supervision.
  11. Ability to use Microsoft Suite programs.
  12. Exposure to one or more of the following:
    1. Healthcare knowledge at either payer or provider level.
    2. Technical knowledge in business applications (Microsoft Office, Tableau, etc.) and healthcare applications preferred (Epic, Cerner).

What you should expect in this role

Onsite work in Sacramento, CA, or remote with willingness to travel to Sacramento and other sites in CA 20-30% of time is required.

The pay range for this position is $69,100 - $98,700 per year, however, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.
