POSITION: The Senior Director, Warehousing will be responsible for all DrinkPAK warehousing and distribution activities in Southern California. The footprint currently includes 7 buildings (totaling 1.4 million sq. ft.), a logistics fleet for inter-facility transfers, and a staff of approximately 150 warehouse employees and class-A drivers. This individual will be charged with developing a cohesive multi-site strategy and driving operational excellence across the various sites. The successful individual is a proven leader who is proficient at building culture as well as designing and implementing processes and structures to support large volume, highly complex warehouse operations.

LOCATION: The position is based at DrinkPAK's headquarters in Santa Clarita, California. The position is fully on-site.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee all 24/7 warehousing and logistics activities for DP1 Los Angeles, including all facilities and assets.
  • Implement best-in-class 3PL processes and procedures to maximize space utilization and improve distribution and fulfillment efficiency.
  • Serve as the primary liaison to the supply chain, manufacturing, and finance leadership personnel.
  • Coordinate, monitor, and adjust warehouse material planning protocols to support production and supply chain activities.
  • Supervise all warehouse billing activities in coordinating with the finance department to ensure accuracy and timeliness of all invoicing.
  • Work with the CIO and 3rd party development resources to customize SAP and Manhattan system functionality, when appropriate.
  • Develop and publish KPI scorecards and management reporting tools.
  • Directly manage a team of warehouse and logistics managers, supervisors, and leads, and provide coaching and development tools to foster an environment of internal talent mobility.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of direct leadership experience in a large, complex 3PL environment.
  • Deep experience in an SAP, Manhattan, or a similar WMS system environment.
  • Demonstrated history of managing multi-site organizations, with a focus on managing high performing inter-facility logistics fleets.
  • Knowledge of industry standard 3PL billing processes and procedures.
  • Proven experience motivating and inspiring a team to achieve industry-leading performance.
  • Self-motivated and self-directed with strong business acumen.
  • Proven commitment to safety with a clean safety record.
  • Ability to work actively on your feet for extended periods of time, navigate stairs comfortably, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
