The Tax Support Administrator plays a vital role in supporting the Tax Practice by effectively directing and managing workflow. This position advocates for a centralized work approach to promote process consistency, enhance communication, and ensure quality across the team.
As a member of the Tax Practice Group, the Tax Support Administrator is expected to maintain a professional presence and uphold the firm's mission, vision, and values, which are essential to the success of the practice group.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with Tax Support team members to share routine tasks and manage general practice responsibilities effectively.
- Develop proficiency in firm applications and software, including STAR, CCH Workflow, CCH Axcess, Caseware, iChannel, and Microsoft Applications.
- Acquire a thorough understanding of federal, state, and local tax return filing requirements, including compliance deadlines and due dates.
- Work closely with Tax Support Administrators and Tax Practice Group Leaders to receive timely feedback, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
- Foster strong working relationships with team members to understand and meet workflow expectations.
- Cooperate with colleagues to cross-train team members, providing backup support for various office needs (e.g., reception coverage, mail distribution, supply ordering).
- Perform various tax-related functions at the firm-wide level, including but not limited to:
- Preparing, assembling, printing, and mailing or electronically transmitting client organizers and tax returns.
- Completing specialized tasks such as scanning, copying, and archiving as requested.
- Assisting with the coordination, preparation, and delivery of engagement letters.
- Managing and tracking CCH Workflow tasks, including scheduling, assignment, tax processing, and e-filing.
- High school diploma required; some college coursework or equivalent experience preferred.
- Strong attention to quality, with a keen eye for accuracy and detail.
- Exceptional proofreading and editing skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while demonstrating flexibility.
- Proven team player with a collaborative mindset.
- Proficient in MS Office Suite, with strong computer skills.
- Effective and professional communication skills across all levels of personnel.
- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
